Phuket Sandbox - Failure...because...who can get there anyway, almost all of the Asia countries are closed for moving tourists around anywhere. Only from Europe/USA/Canada it seems, is it somewhat possible...

But who has two weeks quarantine time to come back from it? It seems as if only youtubers or digital nomads with a lot of time on their hands even has a chance to fly to Phuket...

******
(What is the Phuket Sandbox? It's a Thailand initiative to allow tourists to visit Thailand without the quarantine, and as an effort to stimulate their economy and tourism sectors).

Thailand is now as high risk as the US, Canada, most of Europe and Japan. The risk still exist for fully vaccinated visitors.

Most Asian and western governments still advise against international travel. They strongly recommend vaccination if someone still plan to travel. Vaccination can't prevent infection. Some Asian places lock patients in hospitals or rooms if they test positive without symptoms, Macau is an example.

Why do you mention Macau in all of your posts?

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...holiday-season

I found this June 20th article saying that Phuket was attempting to vaccinate 70% of Phuket in time for holiday season (July 1st).

Now Holiday Season is almost over, and does anyone know if they were even remotely close? The country of Thailand is only around 16% vaccinated throughout the country....

A bit behind, it seems...unfortunately.

What are some of the other things you don't care for about Phuket? Tragic story though, this one that you are sharing...
