Why isn't Indonesia more famous (names, compared, country, people)

I would add that there are many Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese immigrants in the USA that have displayed their culture through restaurants/cuisine, etc.

Indonesia has sort of made a name for itself, though mostly through Bali, to the point that people often refer to going to the island as if it were its own country.

Yep, I planned a vacation and even bought the airline tickets and hotel reservations to Bali but cancelled due to work issues.
