Excess death equals actual gov registry deaths minus covid deaths minus monthly average.
Can someone explain whether these 300 excess deaths were due to under-counting of covid deaths or due to death from side-effect of vaccine booster that started end of September 2021.

Honestly no idea whether it is due to undercounting of covid death or side effects
But I am just guessing under counting is more probable
no one here is asking about it so in a way no one cares whichever the truth is here in Singapore
If you are in Singapore and feel that funeral wakes and ambulance sirens recently are more prevalent and frequent all over island, you are not wrong.
ICA publishes Singapore death statistics. The data shows Sg Oct/Nov 2022 excess death shot up to 50% more than historical average and stays high till March 2023.
About 1000 extra non-covid deaths per month, which is quite significant. This compares with only 100 covid deaths for entire 6 months Oct 22 to March 23 as the pandemic is trending down.
Since Covid is trending down and there are no new epidemics, what is the cause of these excess deaths.
As Singapore is a follower of all things western including healthcare, I would like to ask if this is happening in other western countries too?

Why? Did you get a unidentified call from the SG government lmao.
This brings us to another talking point that the freedom of speech in Singapore is not very encouraging.
The freedom of Press Ranking in the world is 149, which is worst than Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe, etc. A lot of censorship or self censorship.
There is some truth in what you said as they get the IP address of online posters, get their phone numbers from service providers and send them anonymous messages.
I digress.
My next post is an updated version 2.0 of my previous post on the original topic.
This is an updated version of my earlier post on 18 May.

That chart is not showing excess deaths, it is showing deaths.
We need to compare it with natural expected death rate, but the natural rate will rise over time due to people getting older and even more quickly in Singapore due to previous immigration.
There has been a 70% rise in population over 80 from 2012 to 2022, so a 20% increase in death rate since 2019 can easily be explained by Singapore getting older. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapo...to%20132%2C000.
That's it. If I'm ever in Singapore, I'm wearing a heavy duty mask and drink bottle water only after it passes through my own portable water purifying system. Don't know if beyond old age there is something in the air and/or water.

The link you quoted did not address the issue of excess death. Furthermore, it is a non-viable media.
The conclusion you made was just your opinion. Did not see any scientific evidence to support your explanation. At best it is just coffee shop talk only. In this internet age, need to do better than that.
