In the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, public transportation is easily accessible. Buses, auto rickshaws, taxis, and minibuses are a few different modes of transportation. For sightseeing, a traveler has the option of renting a two-wheeler as well. For exploring small islands like Havelock or Neil Island, bicycles are also recommended.

You can also take the bus if you wish to enjoy your trip with a group. If you arrive in Port Blair, you can board buses from the Mohanpura Bus Terminus as many of the outer islands are connected by road; these buses are run by both private operators and the city's transportation department.

Roads connect to several villages, so if you want a comprehensive look at the Andaman culture, you may hire an entire vehicle for an elevated price since private vans and jeeps are also available.

Apart from seaplanes and other expensive helicopter services, the only option available is the ferries to move between the many islands of Andaman and Nicobar. There are catamaran services for traveling between the islands that are available in both affordable and premium prices. The types of ferries include:

Tourist Ferries:

These are small ferries that can carry up to 100 passengers at once. They are also having air conditioners. Although there are no seats or shelter on the upper decks, they are open for tourists. From there, you can witness the amazing view of the Andaman Sea. Also, take a snack with you while traveling on these tourist ferries as there is no canteen or food station.

Local Ferries:

Their sizes are larger compared to tourist ferries and are more stable at sea. There are about 400 seats available in two levels, with simple benches on the "deck" downstairs and padded "bunk" or "luxury" seating upstairs.

They lack air conditioning, but they offer a canteen where you can get bottled water, tea, and samosas. Due to their size, their traveling time is longer than small ferries by nearly two times.

Infiniti Liveaboard:

This is a fantastic ship which serves the Andaman Islands. It is the most opulent ship available to tourists visiting the Andaman Islands. They provide 4-6 night packages that cover everything, including diving, dining, and staying in the boat with lavish accommodations and more. They mainly tour the Cinque, Barren, and Narcondam islands.
