I would bet this would be the place to start:

USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site

Let me understand: You are an american and want to work in Iraq?? Why?? Are you disapointed with life?? The world is so big and do you want go to Iraq? I cannot believe. I think you like to live radical way with too much adrenaline in the blood. So, I can suggest others options: North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Gaza, etc...
Good Lucky my friend. God bless you.

There's obscene amounts of money to be made working for those contractors helping to protect our freedom and all that jazz. I can't say I blame the guy for wanting a piece. I mean if the government is pissing away billions like it is monopoly money why not try to get some of your cash back so to say.
Hell give me some dragonskin armor, a rifle and/or a security detail and I'd go work over there.

I couldn't suggest to anyone out there for any money on this planet to go back in there. I'd rather change my name to Jane Doe and live in wayyy outside any town in Mexico then even ever consider something like that.
Wowo so you get $3.5 an hrs more then back home - For what - for the rest your family to worry that you'll get a bullet in your butt or worst? Naw...

I don't know about the other countries but Americans are treated very well in Iran. The same probably goes among Afghans. Saudi Arabian (an American "allly") Wahhabi fighters aren't Afghans. Search for Rick Steves on Iran. The "war on terror" propaganda you spread (perhaps without really understanding the neo-conservative agenda) is very dangerous but this small group that hijacked American foreign policy the last few decades will become weak with the loss of Palin in power. McCain did better in the last debate but he gives the impression of an almost senile man. In the same way I feel sorry for him I also do for those who really take Fox News rants seriously.

As for Iraq, I would guess money would attract Americans. It's interesting how the occupation of Iraq has created jobs for ordinary Americans.

Not everyone makes 200,000$ a year like you do. If you are an unmarried individual that can manage risk it is a very good opportunity to make a good chunk of change in a short period of time.

You didn't do your research. Not Afghanistan at the present. Iran, yes. Of course it's safe to ordinary tourists. It's well known Americans receive a warm welcome in Iran. You need to look beyond political rhetoric.
