Abu Dhabi is the best UAE city. The tourist are there but it isnt as pushy as dubai.

Its pretty safe, especially compared to many western cities. Drugs related crimes seemed to make up most of the problems when I lived there. Abu Dhabi also isnt as western accepting with "Liberal" female dressing and women are sometimes harassed if they are revealing too much(nothing too serious though)

You should like it

Laws tend to have harsher punishments over there. You may want to familiarize yourself with them before going.

I have no specifics to give you, so I am sorry I can't help more on that, but it is pretty much the same everywhere, always be familiar with the law of the land you are walking in.

Excellent advice. Though they are very modern in many respects, they do not take transgressions of laws about public conduct lightly. Know what is against the law and don't play a game of "dare."

I have friends who travel and work there often, and they do just fine...but they do not get drunk in public, nor do they try to have a quickie on the beach with another foreigner.

Unlike some countries in the West, one suffers for violating the law in most Gulf countries.
