I ask because yesterday had two Atheist-esque (is that a word?) moments.

The first was when the entire office was saying the pledge of allegiance. When "One nation under God" came, Oscar stopped reciting the pledge, looked at the camera, and then proceeded after that line.

The second was when Gabe was talking to Erin and started talking about all the things he didn't believe in (God being one of them).

Not a huge deal, but it was great to see in one of my favorite TV shows!

I also noticed it, and was glad to see it. The show "Community" has a female atheist character as well.

It reminds me of a few decades ago when homosexual characters were just beginning to be incorporated into sitcoms. Now homosexuals and their issues are major parts of a number of shows, "Will & Grace" and "Modern Family". I bet it won't be too long before atheist characters and their issues will be major parts of a number of shows on network tv.

Yes, I thought it was great.

I have no doubt that at least Sheldon, and probably all the main characters, on Big Bang Theory are atheists. Sheldon openly mocks his mother's religion.
