Percentage of civilization developed by christian minds: nearly 100%
Percentage of civilization developed by atheist minds: none
Do you see a pattern there?
I'm talking about modern civilization, not failed civilizations.
India. Malaysia. China. Japan. Egypt. Tibet. Thailand. Korea. Pakistan. Saudi Arabia.
I would also differ in your opinion that Rome was a failed civilization. Founded in 754BC, fell in 476AD, which is a run of 1226 years. Not too shabby. Interestingly, Rome grew while under its original religion, and declined and fell under xtianity.
None of those I mentioned are failed civilizations. They are different than when they started, but certainly not failed.
The Greeks? Country in shambles. Persian Empire? Deceased. Run by a madman and his crazy ayatollah, people starving. Roman Empire? Deceased. East Indian Empire? Deceased.
Bill Gates borrowed from christians...like Steve Jobs, who was a lutheran, then buddhist.
Yeah ...just like Mark Twain borrowed from Christians by using the same language (umm ...and admitting Jobs deconverted doesn't exactly help your argument).
I sat here trying to decide if the thread was worthy of the effort to write a post. I had about half a cup of coffee left so I'd decided I go ahead with this one response just so I could finish the cup...
Depending on geographic location, the percentage of a population that is atheist varies. It is now inching over 50% in some countries. But generally the percentage has been significantly below 50%. So the question is a little bit like asking, in spite, how many civilizations were developed by right-handed people as opposed to left-handed people?
Okay, the cup is empty.
