I really enjoyed reading Rifleman's posts. He had such a great depth of knowledge. I learned a great deal from reading his posts. When I get time, I will go back and read more of his posts from over the years. He will definitely be missed on this forum. A farewell salute to a brother-in-arms.
From Don's family: We are sad to share with you all that Don passed away on Saturday evening. As some of you may know, he had not been well for some time. Though we are deeply saddened by the loss, we are grateful that he is no longer suffering. We're thankful for his life and cherish the times we spent with him.

He made excellent contributions to our forum. He will be greatly missed and much appreciated. He was an ocean of wisdom and excellently biting humor. Condolences to his family.
As with many here, I'm saddened to hear of Don's (Rifleman) passing. Though illogical, I will always expect to read one of his off-color, humorous replies to those who made comments contrary to his non-belief. His life indeed had meaning and resonance with those of us lucky enough to receive a bit of his wisdom and knowledge.
I extend my sympathy as well. Sorry to learn of this.
