If I was truly deviant, for the christian audience, I would make a habit of thanking 'gawd' every time something terrible happens; especially, natural disasters. Hey it's all god's will! Why do we just thank him when it's something that coincides with our self-interest?
I deal with these morons every day in the work place! Among other things, it makes me not want to go to work!

Mr5150, I am a lifelong Atheist and I think your comment is great. We should not expect everyone to agree with us and we should accept them as they are.

Religious people have been taught that losing/not winning is never their fault, it's always the fault of some supernatural non-existent being.

Personally I prefer my workers not blaming god when something doesn't go as expected and actually work to figure it out.

With that attitude you will not go far.

Some wisdom: Rule number one. The boss is always right. Rule number two: when the boss is wrong, refer to rule number one.

You are entitled to your opinion, but you need to get the concept that 90% of folks in the US do not hold your opinion. Be gracious and step outside of your self-centered world view. I think atheists are, well not stupid, but hold a different world view than I. I get along well with folks from all points of view, except the narrow-minded ones...ones who can't live in a diverse world. By diverse I mean where one has to work, live and play with folk who don't think like themselves. You seem to fit what I am talking about.

Instead of ridiculing diverse folk, just learn to understand them and see them as people. Hey, the project was lost. The PHD boss of yours said "must be God's will". He was cool that the job did not happen. Are you? Having a PHD means the guy/gal has some smarts, don't call him/her stupid just cuz the person is a theist. Looks bad, esp in the light of said person being your boss and way more educated than you.

First off, a phd does not = smart.
Second off, accepting stupidity is anti-progress.
Third, it's not about diversity, it's about stupidity and ignorance.

meh. As long as I get credit when it comes to my annual performance evaluation, it doesn't bother me. If my boss was saying "sorry, Eresh, you get no raise because gawd was guiding your wonderful work" then I would have serious issues with it.
