That reminds me of my visit to Peru and seeing at Ollaytantambo (I think is right (1) a group of New Aguers being lectured of some spiritual miasma hovering over the place, and all being made to raise their arms, close their eyes and go: "Whah!" I had to be thankful to just be doing the Inca Valley with my Peru pal.

Must you be so rude to the OP? I don't think she deserves that; she wanted input, not harsh condemnation. Like Grandstander and others, I don't think I could handle, very gracefully, extended time with a group of religious people, but it's her choice if she thinks she can.
In my case, they would smell a rat and nobody would be speaking to me after a while, anyway. Most people are so caught up with concerns about themselves, they really don't want to deal with an eccentric outlier. Too bad I'm not a better actress, because that is what it would take to hide my real self. Some people are better at hiding. I should probably work on it more. Might be fun. But some things just crack me up, too hilarious.

How many ways does one have to say that Israel is closed? There is link after link after link from the media that state Israel is closed. Israel has shut down most of it's airport and laying off 1000's. Hotels are closing. Birthright is cancelled. And to top it all off there is now a 14 day quarantine in place for everyone entering the country.
If the OP wants to put down a deposit that most likely will be cancelled, why bother? 1000's of flights are being cancelled. On top of all this the OP knows there is a worldwide panic going on, just look at their posting history.
Personally, I'd not be able to do it.

No, s/he doesn't HAVE to go to Israel, with or without a church group. I'm assuming that someone in her/his life is committing emotional blackmail.
