I don't buy the argument that higher IQ people have higher instances of suicide and drug addiction. Terman's famous longitudinal study of people of genius also contradicts that. What he discovered is that "Terman's Termites," as they came to be called, had higher incomes, happier marriages, wrote more books, lived longer, and we're mentally healthier than average.

Studies sometimes are contradictory, but Terman is more accepted, I'd wager.

Poverty is related to religion. Thats fair enough. The more poor a country is the more I can see people going to religion.

Murder? high poverty, high murder, rate. But its the poverty causing the murders not the freedom of religion. So that one is just like a religion claiming all the good is from religion. Looking at mexico, central america, and south america, it aint religions fault.

Freedom? that would be in question. I don't see any more freedom in anti-religious states than I do theist run states.

Lewis Terman
"A story of a different kind emerges from Terman's own writings -- a disturbing tale of the beliefs of a pioneer in psychology. Lewis Terman was a loving mentor, yes, but his ardent promotion of the gifted few was grounded in a cold-blooded, elitist ideology. Especially in the early years of his career, he was a proponent of eugenics, a social movement aiming to improve the human "breed" by perpetuating certain allegedly inherited traits and eliminating others. While championing the intelligent, he pushed for the forced sterilization of thousands of "feebleminded" Americans. Later in life, Terman backed away from eugenics, but he never publicly recanted his beliefs."

Neither the OP with dubious data and curious correlation reflect any kind of intelligence in the way conclusions are being drawn.
poverty and prosperity correlate more with GDP and corrupt administrations rather than religion.
birth rates and abortion rates do not correlate with wealth or women’s education. culture does

it is also a red flag when no link is provided regarding source of data

A blog with no links to the papers, a 'seem to', a 'may', and no evidence intelligence is the cause.

You then go on and link to a paper that also says intelligence may or may not be a cause, and then the suicide paper used by Jeffbase that appears to refute your position, pointing to lack of social networking as the problem, not atheism.

And pointing out possible problems does no address the OP.
