When you allow vigorous debate of the nature of God but disallow the debate that there even is one it's a problem. It's the same tactic the cult I grew up used. You could debate the minutest detail but the fact that they might not represent God is completely off limits
I am not sure where or how this is being disallowed and by whom. Here is an entire forum for the very purpose, an open and free forum for anyone to join.
I want it out of politics and government. People can practice their faith and there are many rich faith traditions in our country and on our planet. However, freedom of religion doesn't include the freedom to force others to obey a religious tradition they don't hold themselves.
This. Do what you want in your own home. But religion has NO place is public policy nor politics. Such churches and/or religious groups who seek to influence public policy are an outright threat to modern society and seek to hold society from advancing. Keep it to your damn selves.
