Well I thought it was funny. But apparently I was the only one; it was deleted and called "vulgarity" and "raunchy". I thought it was only mildly crude at the worst.
It's edgy, yes. It points out that much of those holy scribblings are anything but wholesome family fare and much of the bible is extremely inappropriate reading material for thinking kids. The fact that so many Christians are totally blind to this is funny, IMO.
Sadly, in church kids are encouraged (if not forced) to read the bible (as I was).
It can be tricky and thorny to try to qualify a "funny" concept to anyone... but any reasonably smart, thinking kid would not be pleasantly smiling at that...she would obviously yell "EWWW! Yuck! Gross!" and heave the book in the trash. As I did.

I don't remember the post but remember the "Huh?" and didn't understand why they didn't get it. Nor did I think it was "vulgar". Humor is a pretty individual thing. Don't feel bad, I have had more than a few carefully crafted posts nuked or gutted because of something I said or that the person I was replying to said; sometimes I kinda-sorta see why and sometimes I don't see why at all. It goes with the territory here. You have to keep in mind this is a private web site and the owners have a right to do as they wish; the only thing they have to answer to is going a little too far and losing even "good" posters, but my guess is that hasn't happened to any great degree. Besides, in the CD Great Scheme of Things it probably makes back-handed sense in ways you or I couldn't guess at. Imagine how things could devolve here without moderators with pretty free reign. Standards of civility can seem inherently prudish to some but it's got to be enforced and no one is going to agree with how it's done 100% of the time.

Oh ... NOW I remember the post. Hey look at it this way, there are things even in the Bible that are too vulgar for community standards here ... in a way I'm glad that they are censoring the Bible; they certainly weren't censoring you -- all you did was quote it.

Apparently I missed it. Can you quote chapter and verse?
Can look it up then.
