You guys think it's bad in Atlanta.... drive down the road 4 hours and see how Savannah feels. No, the sea breeze hasn't helped any. Yesterday was the 6th day this year where it was 100+ with dew points in the upper 70s to low 80s.

@Kayrob/ Brownhornet....WILL YOU PLEASE TO POSTING ON THIS BOARD GIVING OUT BAD INFORMATION DAILY. YOU ARE MAKING THE CITY LOOK BAD BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

@Caltovegas...Do the research yourself sometimes because people in this forum love giving out bad information. Just about every southern region has hotter Summer humidity than Atlanta

Should have said the windows are fogged on the outside. With the dryer vent a short distance to the outside, and the laundry room with an AC vent, it is cooler inside and the moisture is forming in the dryer and outside windows because of that.

Originally from Jax and Atl usually does not hold a candle in the heat/humidity department (8 months of it down there and as someone from Savannah already mentioned the breeze helps very few and very little if there is one), BUT this year is God-awful!! Especially coming off of that very cold winter and a lack of any sort of summer last year. I am ready for 70s, please oh please! Haha, I think we should resurrect "Hotlanta" for the time being at least because that term is very appropriate this summer, but we should all be mindful that many parts further south are even worse

Its been the same in every state in the South and in DC. People are acting like Atlanta is the only city that is hot with humidity

Yup, we're seeing that as well. Not the water in the dryer, but the fog on the outside of the windows.

I've been here almost six years now, and I believe this year in Atlanta has been unusually warm and moist (at least in July). At least it isn't uncomfortable for me, tho.

That's not the point. It's that you're saying things on here that aren't true often and its always in an attempt to cast some place in a poor light that someone dares to compare to Atlanta. It's very transparent.

Count yourselves LUCKY with a heat index of just 109. Here in Charleston, SC we've had a run of days with heat indexes in the low to mid 120s!

I'm reading your forum partly because I'm sick of SO MUCH SUFFOCATING HEAT. Also I miss being near a big city and am thinking I might be ready to move....

20 years here and Monday afternoon when we went out I commented to my wife that I don't think I've ever felt a worse day before (probably have, but it was just unreal). I love this city as well, but man, I wish for cooler days.
