We will move to Johns Creek soon (sugar mill subdivision) and would like to find a good day care for my daughter (3.5 years old). Any recommendations? Thanks!

Knowledge Beginnings is NAEYC accredited and very close to your subdivision. I have two friends who send kids there and they're very happy with it. Another option is Medlock Bridge Montessori. It's right behind Knowledge Beginnings.

If you are working north of Sugar Mill, or will travel along McGinnis Ferry to get to work, there are several more daycare centers. Crapapple Crossing, Primrose, Johns Creek Academy, Kids R Kids, and Creative Montessori are all along McGinnis Ferry roughly between Medlock Bridge and Old Atlanta Road. Since they are north of McGinnis Ferry and east of Medlock Bridge, they have a Suwanee address. The Goddard School just west of Medlock Bridge Road, also just off McGinnis Ferry. Most of these places have very solid reputations. I've taken a tour of Creative Montessori and was very impressed by it.

We used Goddard School on Johns Creek Parkway (near McGinnis Ferry and 141) for two years of preschool/pre-K and were very happy with them. They also do daycare as young as infants. They are NAEYC accredited.

The state's Bright from the Start program has a very useful website when looking for childcare: http://decal.ga.gov/ All of the inspections are available online, just use the search for a provider service.
