Just as the others said: AT&T DSL is probably your cheapest option for high speed internet (I'd go with the mid-speed option), not fast really, but if you just do light surfing and watch a few videos, you are OK. Comcast is much faster, but way too pricier. I don't bother downloading much, so speed is not a big deal to me.

I thought about getting Clear Wireless, but was alarmed at all the negative reviews of it.

I don't watch TV, nor do I even have one, and I really do not miss having one. If I want to watch a TV show, I can usually find it somewhere online.

And it doesn't include HD....that's $10/month extra. So you will only pay $53/month for the first year, then you get to pay $82/month. Read the fine print!!

Oh, and you will lose signal in a heavy rainstorm.
You're talking about a total different package. I clearly said, Total Choice
Family Package which is $29.99.

DIRECTV Total Choice Family Programming Channel Package

You are talking about Total Choice XTRA or Ultimate etc etc. 2 totally different packages.

Even so, it would be $29.99 plus $12 for the sports package and $10 for the HD which is $51.99 a month which is still less than $120...

That's not even DirecTV's web site. There is no "Family Package" for $29.99 on the DirecTV web site. So either they don't have that plan anymore (bait and switch) or DirecTV doesn't want its customers to know about it (hidden discounts). Either way, it's DirecTV being their usual slimy selves.

Hook up a line to your neighbor's cable when they're not home.

Just kidding.

It is way too expensive but I don't know of any good workarounds. It seems like that's something practical that Obama and Palin and all of these politicians could get together on.
