Where will you be working? What specific questions do you have about Atlanta?

We should be careful not to make assumptions. One question and alinka72 assumes the person has no plan, no job and probably not a whole lot of money. Maybe this family has more money than you but they're more interested in hearing the good and bad first. Maybe you're just stuck on having a whole lot of money. Your hang up. Everyone I know that moved to ATL had money, but they asked questions about best neighborhood to live, quality of education, commuting, etc. The problem with replies like this is people aim to criticize rather than help. If you're not interesed in answering the question, which could help direct someone that knows very little about your city, you could consider not replying.

....to the op, I got your message. It would help to know where you guys may be working before I can give you real direction. If that's not part of the equation, which do you prefer.....suburban or city life?

My thoughts exactly. Mizzk2011, we aren't all like some of the more negative members on city-data. I hope you don't let posts like that one influence your decision.

Take a look at some of the thread titled "Moving to Atlanta soon? Read this first" located at the top of the Atlanta threads. It might have some information you're looking for. Good luck.

Oh, frankly. Take a good look at the posts this person posted. Anyone with an IQ of 50 who legitimately is looking for pointers would write a more educated post than the one above. I, so far, in this forum, have not found 'people with a lot of money' moving to Atlanta. People with money do not refer to forums and consult complete strangers to gage a life event situation such as moving from city to city or state to state.

alinka72 - On the contrary, anyone with an IQ at all would resort to all resources available when making such an important decision. We do not know if Mizzk2011 has hired a moving consultant, has engaged a real estate agent or what. So, regardless, there is really no need to be uncivil in your online discourse. It does not really make your IQ look too high, to your point.
