I'm thinking a call center would even be fine with me... It's just time for me to move out and start my life. My girlfriend will be living with me. We will honestly be happy with a 1 bedroom apartment in the downtown area for $400 a month. Any suggestions on places to live and places to apply at?

Unfortunately I dont think this is very realistic. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of people in the atl area with a lot of experience trying to find jobs. It sound like you dont have any, so I doubt you will be very lucky. $400 a month will get you a pretty crappy apartment in the city, most likely in a high crime area, unless you are talking subsidized housing where the government is paying for some of the rent and you are paying $400 out of pocket, but most of those places arent the safest. But then again I dont know your background and you might be used to that. For one person electric and water will run you around $100 a month. With two people you would not double that, because most of the water bills come from the base charges and not how much you are using, but I would say $150-175 would be a safe bet. The rest is up to you..phone, internet, cable, etc.
