Food, my favorite topic
West End has got some nice spots. One of my favorites is Soul Vegetarian on Abernathy. It has the same owners as the Virginia-Highland location, but I prefer the West End one more.
There's Chanterelle's on Evans St which has some ambitious food that I totally appreciate. Their curried lamb and bread pudding are great if they are being served that day.
The newest addition SPACE on White St is nice too. I like that it's open til 1am, so I've got more after 10pm options.
About Space Atlanta
Also, I got to agree with Busy Bee. Not technically in West End, but close enough to check out if you are in that area. It's my favorite Soul/Southern food in Atlanta, and is one of the few that actually live up to the reputation. My only issue with Busy Bee is sometimes you've got to wait for a seat when it's real busy, but I hear they are moving a few buildings down on the same street.
