There are plenty other IB and Magna schools in Marietta, besides Marietta High School. More new and better schools in Kennesaw.

East Cobb is good, then you graduate and go to Joseph Wheeler High.

Walton is little far, but it's ok...

Um...

Totally inaccurate information.

While the schools in East Cobb are top notch they do not compare with the rigour of an IB program so I can see why the OP is intersted in IB schools, they offer a supeior public education.
That's a matter of personal opinion. AP courses are extremely challenging. At the East Cobb schools like Walton, Lassiter, and Pope, most students looking to get into a good college are take 8-9 AP courses in their senior year on top of sports, music, etc. Walton especially is well-known with colleges like Harvard and Yale.

Most of East Cobb doesn't go to Wheeler. Most go to Walton, Lassiter, and Pope. All three are nationally ranked and known.
