That's Oakcliff. Part of the neighborhood is in Doraville, part is unincorporated. Not the most aesthetically pleasing, as Oakclliff Road becomes an industrial area around I-85 and just south of there is the tanker farms. Not sure about crime, but you would be separated by 85 from the sketchy apartments on Pleasantdale Road.

If you're thinking abut Doraville, why don't you look into the neighborhoods just inside the perimeter? Doraville inside the perimeter and has a better reputation, with the best being Northwoods, and will appreciate more. Not sure how the prices compare, but it's all Doraville, so it couldn't be that different.
