Its the black mecca of america man, why are you acting so surprised? Criminals do the most crime where they blend in with the population. This should not be a shocker to you.

Corruption is the consequence of race-based voting patterns.

It ain't just Atlanta and it's not just political. The judicial corruption in this state is the real eye opener. The AJC ran a story with the numbers earlier this year. Just one recent example is the judge who was invollved in the drug purchases and is now known to have handed out uneven sentences depending on who was standing before him. But the number of judges charged with taking bribes, fixing cases etc was incredible.

I don't even know about three posters, but one in particular is like clockwork.

Thats just the SuperFriends dont mind them. On another note, I think Georgia is more corrupt than Atlanta is.

Very true, this country was beyond corrupt when only one kind of people could vote.

Graft and corruption are certainly not endemic to Atlanta, but one could come to that conclusion due to the scope and magnitutude of criminal activity that has touched our city. And criminal activity in rather high places.

Understanding the dynamics of why our city, and country, are falling prey to such evil people is complicated.

I'll just throw out a few of my thoughts and ideas:

1. The ever widening disparity between the rich and poor.

2. A corporate culture in which company loyalty means nothing. Corporate executives are interested in their welfare and their welfare only. Unfortunately, employees are just pawns in the corporate world.

3. A public school system that is dysfunctional.

3. An increasing number of mentally disturbed people lacking the ability to perceive and assess their dysfunctional mental state. These disurbed people lack the ability to discern right from wrong.

4. Family relationships that are either strained or nonexistent.

5. Romantic relationships that are either strained or nonexistent.

6. The engrained belief that money can buy happiness.

Because people who work for the public sector are more often than not, dumb, greedy, and self serving?

well said tonygeorgia! I could not agree with you more. Corruption is a problem EVERYWHERE....look at the state of the world today! this problem is certainly not specific to Atlanta
