We really don't want to go over $700-750 for right now because I'm still in school full-time

Ok, I just realized you said $700. You aren't gonna find anything that low near any in-town walkable areas, safe or not.

No walkability on that budget but you can stay inside the perimeter near a Marta station easily with that. Check out doraville and decature area. I would not suggest the smaller suburban cities like Lawrencevilles downtown for a young couple. Check them out but being close or inside the perimeter is much better for people our age.

Ok so are there any safe neighborhoods that are VERY close to shopping and nightlife in Atlanta that are possible in that price range? We don't even mind living in a studio.

Try Harmony on peachstreet and that area. Those are the cheapest apartments I know near midtown ($500-600).

Dont do your husband like that and make him drive from Atlanta to work everyday. Just moved to the northern suburbs and call it a day

Also decature is still a good choice. Stay out of Clayton county.

I think Lawrenceville is a good compromise considering his commute.
