Ugh! Study...Study...Study. We burn through so much cash studying and only a small percentage is followed up with an actual project. No wonder the federal government is broke. Why does this require federal funding? This isn't a federal matter! ****Sorry, just venting in general ****

So your solution is just to start building with no thought as to how it will effect traffic, how much of the population it serves, what impact it will have on the surrounding environment?

There is a lot more to building a mass transit line than just putting down tracks and adding a train. That's the last phase.

I doubt he means any of that but it would be nice sometimes to just "Get Sh*t Done" like they did back in the day. He said he was just venting and I feel the same way about how agonizingly slow the process is.

I agree 100%. It's common sense that it will help traffic. We do not need a study to find this out.

They do need "studies", but I moved here in 1984 and they were doing studies then. I have to fall into the "crap or get off the pot" category.

I was about to say I remember studies in the 1990s...

More waste of tax money. They know we need it, so build the damn thing.

Yes, but how relevant would those studies be almost 30 years and several thousand people later?

That's all fine and well, but that's not realistic position to take. Mostly because it's impossible to "just get shhh done" like how they did back in the old days. Environmental laws, labor laws, and consumer safety laws wouldn't allow it and not realizing that is an exercise in futility. It won't happen.

Plus the added expense of all those bureaucrats, writing and enforcing those laws, regulations, rules and restrictions.
