If I am reading your post correctly - all hotel in Buckhead is not within walking distance of the Georgia Dome since you want to avoid public transportation and/or cabs.

Check out Atlanta Hotels - Embassy Suites Atlanta Hotel Centennial Olympic Park - it's just across the street from the Omni Hotel.

Good luck!

I'd re-think that public transportation issue if I were you. You could stay at any of those Buckhead hotels, walk into the Buckhead train station and be at Philips Arena in 15 minutes. That's MARTA at its best, and it's not a challenging urban adventure in the least. The stations are very well maintained, lighted and policed. I'd personally consider it safer than walking around downtown near the Dome.

alright so i think im going to be using marta..now im going to stay in buckhead

im thinking either the ritz carlton or the gran hyatt

now i have a new set of questions

this will be my plan ideally friday coming in earning evening late afternoon get to the hotel and check in

then if the malls are still open over there go there and then out to eat
first question is from the hotel can i walk to these places..i look at maps and i see highways so i dont know if i can just walk to places from either hotel

sat i will be going to the hall of fame ceremony at the phillips arena i figure i leave early take marta and go to the georgia aquarium..would i easily be able to walk from the aquarium to the arena after then after take marta from the arena back to the hotel?

and sun will be wrestlemania i might go to fan access at the congress center maybe that day would that be easily walkable to the georgia dome

i ask this because i want to be able to walk from some places to one another dont want to have to spend to much money on cabs or public transportation walking 1 and half to 2 miles isnt alot for me as logn as its walkable and no highways in my way

so please let me know the answers to all of this thank you very much

Yes to walking on all of the above.

The Grand Hyatt is a little further walk to the malls - Lenox Square® - Atlanta, GA 30326 | Simon Malls and Phipps Plaza - Atlanta, GA 30326 | Simon Malls but it's almost across the street from a MARTA subway stop. There a bunch of restaurants near the Grand Hyatt too. terminus atlanta restaurants - Google Search

Lenox and Phipps both have food courts and full service restaurants too.
