I will be moving to Atlanta in 3 weeks! I'm very excited about the move, but getting a little discouraged by the reviews I've been reading on many of the apartment complexes. Obviously I realize that people are going to complain and you'll find more complaints than recommendations, BUT the complaints that I've read deal with burglaries, shootings, etc. I'll take my chances with reviewers complaining of rude staff, but complaints of burglaries and shootings are a no no.

Does anyone have personal experiences with apartment complexes in Midtown or Dunwoody that are nice, well-kept, and where crime on the premises is not a common occurrence?

I am looking for either a studio, loft, or 1 bedroom up to $1200/month. I also want to live in a walkable area (with stuff to do - ie. shops, restaurants, coffee houses, etc.) and near MARTA trains. I am young, single and no kids so schools are not an issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know much about Dunwoody, but you should look at Post Parkside in Midtown off 10th Street. Nice apartments, reputable company, safe with secure parking deck, near MARTA, in a walkable area and right on Piedmont Park.

Contact promove.com

It's a free apartment service approved by this site that a lot of people have used.

Thanks for the suggestions...I will check on Post Parkside.

Also, I've tried contacting ProMove several times over the past few weeks, but they never got back to me.
