I don't know much about the going rate in East Cobb, but I'm sure you can find a place to rent for $1700-2,000. Probably even less, maybe 1,500

I'm not against section 8, but I've been working since I was 12 and never once thought about government assistance.

To each his own, but it does seem a bit odd that you are collecting housing vouchers, but still drive a nice car and are asking questions about two of the nicest parts in their respective areas (East Cobb / Arlington)
How do you get on Section 8? If you can get $1200-1700 a month that's pretty darn good!

I can't believe people are falling for this.

The only people who are speaking out for this idiot are people who have only 1 or 2 posts.

It's obviously just a scam to get people riled up. Though to what end, I don't know.

This thread should be closed because it is not real. Nobody is this dumb, and if they are, they don't deserve to have their question answered anyway.

On a side, but relevant, note. I'm sure that many of my "dearest" Atlanta CD "friends" will be happy to know that I am thoroughly enjoying the Arlington area so far. My only complaint, to quote a recent NYC mayoral candidate: "The rent is too damn high!"

Still though, I'm going to check out a "reasonably priced" apartment tomorrow afternoon.
