I am thinking of buying some investment realeatate and am wondering about these areas? are they desireable locations? what are the downsides to these areas?

Right now, in just the city of Lithonia, there's 73 rentals available, ranging anywhere from $550 to $5500 - I kid you not, so there's more than just 'Section 8' housing that's active.

Stone Crest Mall in Lithonia seems to be booming, there are new stores opening up there all the time. I would look right around the mall if you can get some property.
