my son is looking for furnished housing in the Atlanta area while he is doing his Summer Internship. His job will be in Roswell. Any suggestions for finding a sub lease or summer rental in the Northern part of Atlanta?
He came acros housing in the area near Deering Rd. NW atlanta GA........... how long in time will a commute be from that area to near North FultonReg Hospital area for a morning drive in Atlanta??????????

Craigslist is you best option for temporary housing.

If your son takes the opportunity off Deering Rd, the good news is that he will be going against the much of the traffic.

However you are still talking about 30 mile commute and it will get congested going north on 400. This is a toll road and I suspect it will take 45 minutes on average.

On a bad traffic day (rain, accidents etc) it could be twice as long of a commute.

thanks for your input on the traffic potential in that area... being from out of town we really had no idea what to expect... except that there is A LOT OF TRAFFIC in Atlanta.

Really, there's housing in Roswell. Wouldn't it make more sense to be closer than 30 miles from the job?

Depending on where the job is in Roswell he could find a summer sublet at Kennesaw State. It wouldn't be to bad of a drive if he took back roads cutting through East Cobb. It wouldn't be ideal but I bet there are quite a few options for short term rentals.
