Cain joins presidential race with promise to beat Obama *| ajc.com

Another Atlantan joins the race for President in 2012! In his announcement Herman Cain harkened back to Martin Luther King's great "Free at Last" speech.

If nothing else, I'll vote for Herman Cain in the Republican primary just to expose the Democrats. Go ahead and tell me that the guy who's 50% black is "blacker" than the guy who's 100% black, and then listen to me LOL.

What does black have to do with it? He's an Atlantan and that alone is enough to make us proud.

And along with Newt, he's the second major Presidential contender from Atlanta this year. How many other cities can say that?

Man, I would love to see Herman as president. He's been a success at everything he's done and he's actually done real work in the real world, unlike Obama, Bush 2, Clinton, and 90% of congress/senate.

It's a long shot, but he's got my vote.

I'm not referring to their politics, just that they're both from the ATL.

I probably won't vote for Herman Cain unless he becomes the front-runner ... but loved his response to challenges related to his political inexperience vs. current office holders who have lengthy political resumes - "How's that workin' for ya?"

No doubt. The last thing we need is another leader w/ "political experience."

Herman has something called "work experience." I know. It's a foreign concept in politics now amongst all the academics, lawyers, and community organizers.
