Norcross is a nice suburb of Atlanta with good schools. When you get to Atlanta and have a more specific idea of where you are thinking of living, we can you give you more specific advice.

Norcoss is a fine area to live in. I have heard mixed reviews about the public schools (overall the area has a good reputation). You can score a good deal on a newly built townhome right now, so good luck with that.

You can research schools on GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community

I'd be careful with what is referred to as Norcross. The actual city of Norcross is nice as is the nearby area known as Peachtree Corners which will also soon be its own city. However, there are many areas that have a Norcross address that are unincorporated that are extremely sketchy, generally around Jimmy Carter blvd, Buford hwy, Beaver Ruin rd to name a few of the places you wouldn't want to live.

You would likely be in either the Norcross or Duluth school cluster, which are part of the Gwinnett school system.

As a general rule the area north of Buford Hwy tends to be more affluent with less crime.
