Help!! I relocated from Michigan a few months ago. I want to start a fresh herb garden but I have not been able to find any affordable plants. At Detroit's Eastern Market, I could buy fresh herbs and veggies for $1.25/plant. (If you make it to Detroit in the summer, you gotta visit Eastern Market. Fruits, vegetables, music and comraderie -- it's the best!) I haven't been able to find anything similar here in the ATL. Home Depot and Lowe's charge $3.50/plant. Is that the norm? Are there any fruit markets with cheaper plants?

What about the Dekalb Farmer's Market on Ponce De Leon or the Buford Highway Famers Market? May be worth seeing what they've got.

I would drive up and down Buford Hwy.

I usually buy some of my herbs/veggies from Wal Mart. Although they are cheaper, they don't have a super selection, so then I usually buy whatever they don't have at HD/Lowe's.

You must check out Buford Hwy Farmer's Market. It's awesome. I relocated here from Michigan Last July. Although I didn't make it to Eastern Market all that much I really enjoyed the times I did.

DeKalb's Farmers Market is a great choice. Food from all over the world. It is inexpensive as well (Your Dekalb Farmers Market - A World Market - Atlanta's Best Source Of Affordable Organic Food).

Are you being sarcastic or is that really a good place to look? I'm trying to find legitimate fruit markets or stands that sell fresh herb and veggie plants for a garden (not illegal substances as someone else intimated).
