Yeah, at this point the only thing we can hope for is that the woman that survived will make a full recovery and that the W takes the necessary steps to make sure this never happens again. Can you imagine if it was a child that fell through that window?

Yes, absolutely, if the hotel was at fault.

It's still not entirely clear to me how this happened. The witnesses say the two victims were standing next to the window, one with her back to it and the other one facing her. Then they "leaned back a little and they just went out."

However, he also says the window was broken -- is he saying it broke just under the force of two petite women leaning against it?

And since they were standing up, you have to assume that it was the upper pane that failed.

It also seems a little fuzzy in that the upper window and lower window are separate from each other. From the photos and his statement that the victim was laying on the floor and that he crawled over to help, it sounds like they fell through the bottom pane.

I guess the detectives will get to the bottom of it.

This is just bizarre and scary. We have a very large "picture" window in our living room. Unfortunately it's not a real window, just a sheet of untempered glass. My son and his cousin were horseplaying in there and he crashed head first into the window. Put a pretty bad lump on his head, but didn't break the window. Granted, he only weighs about 60 pounds, but it does make me wonder.

I'm thinking you said this because these women are black

This is a very sad and tragic story that, quite frankly, could've happened to anyone. My heart and prayers go out to both of their families and loved ones.

It was the bottom pane and I can't figure it out since the pane is low and the entire glass did not pop out, it shattered and some glass was left. You could see a hole in the glass. The split in the window was still there, its not like the entire window fell out or something. Its a glass window, you assume risk at some point if you are playing by it. I can't see how the glass "failed".

The only thing I could figure out is one girl was against the window, was charged and she bent from the hit, fell out the window back first and the other girl that charged fell out too. I have the FOGGIEST idea how they played and fell out the way the glass looked on T.V.

Really sad and weird.

You opened the can of whoop-azz on yourself by playing your misogyny card.

Every other card is fair play after that.

Grin and bear it.

It's good to see people sharpening their comedic skills at the expense of two beautiful women who tragically lost their lives. I see no joking or laughing manner here.

Something like this could have easily happened to anyone of us. Whether they were whoring or not; they didn't deserve to die.
