I'm not doubting you saw one, but I've lived in Atlanta for decades and honestly can't recall ever seeing a Confederate flag on anybody's house. Is this the only one, or have you seen others?
I must go see if it's still there, now. Absolutely, Confederate flags on people's houses are rare in East Cobb. I can't recall seeing another. Of course, I've seen them from highways while passing through rural areas.

I was just responding to an earlier claim on this thread that you'd have to go to the exurbs to find a Confederate flag flying. That's not quite true.

It's largely true. Of course, there will always be those who try to re-enforce some Southern stereotypes by seeking out the only Confederate flag in East Cobb. I suppose there has been a Confederate flag flying in Dunwoody at some point since 1970. But finding the single case would just be nitpicking.

Sexton Woods isn't even that nice. In fact, it sucks, if you ask me. A bunch of ugly 60s ranches and split-levels. The houses in Huntley Hills are fugly. Both areas are marginal at best and by no means do they scream white collar.

In any case, a couple of streets in Sexton Woods and Huntley Hills is probably 5% of Chamblee. That is not "plenty."

That is because Huntley Hills Elementary is in Chamblee.

But not within the city limits, Kurtie...

...which seems to matter so much to you in terms of "Chamblee-ness" and "white collar-ness."

And--it seems a place can have a Chamblee address, but still be unincorporated (unlike what you said earlier).

Unless there has been a really recent annexation for/by Chamblee? I know they were tryin'...but didn't it fail/not pass?

That street is in Keswick Village, not Sexton Woods. Keswick Village is a neighbnorhood of 1950s bungalows built for the blue-collar employees of the Doraville GM plant.

West until Granger Drive.

A lot of Donaldson is in the Chamblee city limits.
