Ohio tech company moving corporate headquarters to Alpharetta *| ajc.com

Information technology company Agilysys is moving its corporate headquarters to Alpharetta and could bring about 100 jobs to the area, the company announced earlier this week. The company, which is based in Cleveland, creates enterprise software and services for hospitals and the retail industry. The majority of its customers are in the United States, but it has support offices in England, Singapore and Hong Kong.

This article is a bit misleading. In 2004, Agilysys acquired a company (Inter-American Data) that was headquartered in Atlanta (Lawrenceville) and that office remained their Hospitaly Solutions Group lead office.

I could not find any information via google but for those of you that are long time Atlanta residents, IAD I believe was the company that lost a significant number of executives on a plane crash. It was big news in the area at that time.

Wow! Alpharetta is a huge tech corridor. No wonder there's been so much growth up that way.

I'm one of those Agilysys employees in Ohio. Relocation is an option for us so I'm checking out the area and came across this forum. Definitely a great find and wealth of information. We currently have a location in Alpharetta, and had been there prior to the IAD acquisition.
I'm look forward to the possibility of the move as I have family in Johns Creek along with many friends that had moved from this location down there.

I wonder if Agilysys is following the foot steps of NCR? NCR also moved its OHIO headquarters to Duluth, GA not too long ago. Keep the tech companies coming this way.

It is not like P&G decided to move from Cinn. to Atl. One had to look up what this company was.

OH GDP is still higher than GA, and it has grown at about the same rate as GA GDP in the last few years.

(I have nothing for or against OH in this.)
