Er, you're missing my point. But that's my fault for not being clearer. What I said was I'd like to see whites and blacks move past the "You're a racist!" argument.

That doesn't mean you "get over" racism. But it does mean that whites need to quit being so thin-skinned about being called out on racial issues. Blacks, too, for that matter, although I don't think it's as much an issue.

By the same token, I'd like to see the conversation move to a point where we can talk about the issues without someone hurling the word "racist!" like it's a poisoned dart or something. It's a discussion killer. In a city like Atlanta we can do better than that.

It was NOT racist and should NOT be considered controversial.
