Hello everyone!

I need help finding a good hotel which accomodates 4 adults 2 children and is something like a Holiday Inn Suites or Staybridge Suites. Can anyone tell me where to find one near the Atlanta Aquarium that is in a good/safe area.

Thank you, I really appreciate any information.

Try the Ga aquarium website. I think they have links to the nearby hotels. Also check out the CNN Center website. There is a hotel insde it which is right across from the GA Aquarium.

One of our trips to ATL we stayed at the Embassy Suites in Buckhead. We took the train to the aquarium. We had a one bedroom suite. May be too small for 4 adults but maybe they have bigger suites. Worth checking into.

Well, are you looking for a 4-5 star hotel, or a Holiday Inn Suites? They're on pretty opposite ends of the spectrum......

Thanks to all. I have never been to Georgia; therefore, I don't have a clue what would be the closest/safest area.

Moderator:

Thank you for the response, I know the Holiday Inn is way off from a 4-5 star hotel, what I'm not sure is if there is a 4-5 star which may have suites that accomodates 4 adults and 2 kids in one suite/room, that's why I also included the Holiday Inn Suites or other similar types. If you know of any, I would be greatly appreciated, I have two small boys and grandparents traveling along with us.
Let me tell you, we have stayed in some Holiday Inn's suites and they are actually much more comfortable than most 4-5 star hotels.
Most of the 4-5 star hotels I've checked only have rooms for 3-4 people.

Any other information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Thats because most 4-5 star hotels aren't really geared toward servicing families- in fact, many sort of frown upon having kids running around, as they tend to cater to the high $$ crowd that doesn't want to be disturbed.

As far as finding hotels near the aquarium, there are several nice hotels nearby- the Omni, the Westin Peachtree, etc. They're all 3-4 stars, and may have suites available that will suit your needs. There aren't any of the 4-5 story, HI Suites hotels nearby- you'd have to stay further and hope to find one near MARTA.

The Embassy Suites by the Aquarium across from the Omni is on Marietta Street. If it's a safe area is questionable. You definitely don't want to walk around there at night. I'd think maybe Buckhead or 10th 14th by Piedmont Park would be safer and you'd have more restaurant, shopping choices. You can take a train or cab to the Aquarium.

Here's the link to the Aquarium page that lists the hotels that have packages where I think they include some Aquarium tickets with the room, etc. There are links you can click on that describe the packages:
