Get outta here with that... it's just a physical description such as tall or fat.

Being racist is thinking that your race is more superior and being intolerant,

No one said that all black people are thugs.

Do any of you guys have lives? This subject has been beat to death, burned, buried, dug up, burned again, thrown into the ocean, recovered from the ocean and then was thrown a pond, recovered from the pound (by some random kid fishing), reported on the news, then buried again, and finally was dug up 1000 years later just to have the excavators do the exact same thing.... -_- Give it a rest... We already have one thread discussing race..... LET IT DIE!!

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one Arjay. I think Atlanta clearly has a distinct "black" culture and that is one of its selling points to a lot of folks moving here. You also can't deny that there's some tension here that probably doesn't exist somewhere like Canada due to our history, the size of the black population(2.5% vs. 12.5%), and throw in some socio-economic factors as well because that's a big word and I really don't feel like breaking it down(not that I actually know anything about it).

I also think blacks have been "settled" here for longer and fewer have arrived here via the Caribbean so there are bound to be some cultural differences due to that.

So is white ... and yet both are terms that some types of people use to describe each other. What's wrong with using mutually accepted terms?
