... that took me from Georgia to Washington state and back again: 6,000 miles in16 days, through 14 states and 8 major metros, including 4 state capitals and 3 national parks. I saw some beautiful countryside, stunning landscapes, snow-capped mountains, lonely desert, more corn than I ever thought one country could grow (or need) and -- EVERYWHERE! -- met enough friendly and interesting people to last a lifetime. Yet driving back into Georgia tonight after being on the road for so long, I couldn't help being struck by the beauty of my home state and especially how incredible the city of Atlanta looked in the light of dusk following a cleansing rain. Make no mistake and don't doubt for a minute, we live in a stunning place that more than holds its own against all the other cities, states and regions that get forever hyped on this site. Are we perfect? Hardly. But as I saw the past two weeks with my own eyes, no place in this country is!

It's good to be home!

Would love to hear a bit more about your trip, like where your favorite spots were, great eats, etc. ?
