Just for context, by that time guys like Calvin Craig and the Klan were generally regarded as fringe element crackpots. The magazine wasn't celebrating the Klan, but remarking that it still even existed. That was the era when progressives like Ivan Allen were Mayor and Carl Sanders was Governor.

I think it was obvious/clear (to me at least--and those that know history) that Atlanta magazine was not celebrating the Klan with that cover.
