We are looking for an active swim-tennis communties in Johns Creek/Alpharetta area and really like Glen Abbey subdivision. I have a question regarding Glen Abbey access to Big Creek Greenway. Does Glen Abbey have a direct access to Greenway or could only access it through Rock Mill Park on Kimball Bridge? I read the comment sections of Fulton County school redistriction meeting. It seems many residents in Glen Abbey mentioned that students could ride to Alpharette High School through Greenway. If the subdivision has direct access to it, that would be a big plus for us. Thanks a lot.

Rock Mill Park is the closest official entry to the greenway.
The "other" was the possibility of using the powerline right-of-way that sort of splits G.A. in half. But, I don't think it will ever happen.
For one, the power company (Georgia Power or Sawnee) I'm sure will have a say, the trail is on the other side of the creek from G.A.- that would require a bridge. And having a trail coming into the subdivision invites unwanted persons.
I'm quite familiar with G.A.- I built in there for a few years. Jim Cowart built many subdivisions in the north Fulton area. He was a first-class developer.

Thanks for your information. So I guess what those parents referred to is the entry on Rock Mill Park although I don't feel so safe to let my kids ride from Glen Abbey to Rock Mill Park.

Since you are familiar with Glen Abbey, maybe you know something about my other question. I like almost everything about Glen Abbey except the cemetry closeby. It bothers me a little bit when driving by. Since there are several big wealthy subdivisons in that area, I am just curious why no one is considerring putting a fence in front of the cemetry or I am the only one concerning about this? But I do know many people don't like to buy houses next to grave sites.
