So I am riding down with a friend and will officially be in the area on Saturday. I would like to hang out with my friend before he flies back home Sunday afternoon and I'm looking at some places to hang out. Any suggestions? We're both 25 and we do bars and lounges sometimes. I'm a girl and he's a guy(gay). I love midtown, but I'm not sure where else to go and what exactly to do. I really want to explore the city

Will you have a car?

I'd check out Little 5 Points and Decatur for hangouts with a distinct style to them. The MLK Center is somewhat transit-accessible if you're looking for a more traditional tourist activity. It also happens to be free.

Head to Midtown around sunset, stroll around in the park a bit, and find a place for dinner and drinks after that--there is no shortage of them. You could catch comedy at the Vortex on Peachtree or Whole World Improv Theater if you want an activity.

If you have a car, you could head to Stone Mountains and hike. I would recommend parking in downtown Stone Mountain and walking to the park from there: free parking, and you get to see the historic side of the area in addition to the park.

There are spots you can hit up. Saturday you have the compound, Mansion Elan, Luckie lounge( day party) and a bunch others. You just have to determine which club/lounge suits you better. You can go to alltheparties.com for a breakdown of parties for the week or ATLpics.net for just parties in ATL.
