Regular price one-way fare is now $2.50.

One-day passes are now $9, 7-day passes are $23.75 and 30-day passes are $95!

More details at MARTA's site.

I wonder how poor people can afford $1200 per year? That's a lot of money!

I'm sure plenty of the illegals are sharing passes to save money.

The monthly pass increasing by 40% is unreasonable. And regular fares are going up by 25%. I think this places MARTA as the most expensive transit system as New York and Chicago are round-the-clock service. And that includes past cuts in MARTA service.

Well it is "Jawja" where the state won't even subsidize the largest mass transit system in the Southeast and then the citizens have to pay for it. Atlanta should secede.

What does being illegal have to do with anything? Hell my girlfriend and I sometimes share passes up here in New York and I'm pretty sure we're not illegal (but you may know something I don't....)

Actually it's slightly more than the NYC subway since up here when you put $20 or more on your Metrocard at a time, you get a 7% discount.
