Wanted to get some insight from anyone that has XM Radio. Does anyone have any reception issues? Looking for it mostly for home use. Live in zip 30064 off west sandtown road.

Would be good to hear if anyone has had success or had issues before I make the leap...

Interesting that we do not have more variety here.

Regards,
Mike

I don't live in the area, but XM has two ways of getting a signal to you - the satellites themselves and on-ground "repeaters" - similar to cellphone towers. As you live near Atlanta, there's probably a good amount of repeaters down there.

As long as your antenna is set up properly, you shouldn't have an issue.

As for home use, you can listen online as well.

I live farther east in 30068, and I used to have XM Radio built into my car (got several months free but didn't feel like paying monthly fee afterwards).

I never had an reception problems, though it was the car's built in system, so reception might be better than a home system since cars are used outdoors and have high-end receivers....

Default Xm

I have it in my car and get excellent coverage except in on spot on Burnt Hickory Road, near Kennesaw Mtn. Never had issue with in the area I think you are posting about.

Same situation here in exactly the same spot and a few others. Where you have trees blocking the satellite with no or weak terrestrial repeater signal, you get spotty outages.
