I'm still undecided about where to move in Georgia. I've heard great thing about Columbus, Kennesaw, Marietta, and Woodstock. I need some good advice on the areas of Northwest and Southwest GA. Advice where I can find a job in the Surgical Technology field.A decent place to live yet won't be that expensive just until I find a job and get on my feet. I looked at some of the houses in GA and you get little house for a lot of money whereas in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas you get a lot of house and land for little money and taxes. Oh but Louisiana's state taxes are too high but not propery taxes.

Have you thought about renting for a year, and then buying a place? It's always risky to pick a suburb you don't know well and decide to buy a home there. Plus you have no idea where you'll be working. Find a job and then buy a place after that- not vice versa. Also, the housing market is slowing down here so you don't need to be in a rush to buy.
