It's too cold for Mega-bus to have it's customers outside at the Marta Civic Center Station. Also Greyhound trailer is so embarrassing for the city of the Atlanta, as it is way past time for a new building.

Does Megabus have any inside waiting location?

Baltimore/White Marsh is the MTA Park & Ride Lot. The pickup and dropoff locations in NYC are both just regular street corners. It is not the P/A.

Cheap overhead for Megabus.

Amtrak is awful. Rode it from DC to ATL after 9/11 when the airports were closed and it was by far the most uncomfortable trip i've ever taken. And it stopped nearly as many times as buses do.

If they ever get the downtown MMPT built, they could move both the Megabus and the Greyhound terminals there. In fact that's probably a part of the plan.

The question is.. Is MegaBus willing to Pay to be in a terminal? There business model seem to be drop on curb, to keep overhead low.

Yes that is their business model:they do not pay to use that location. The problem is that because there are so many riders, all the trash cans get full and the overflow blows down the street. There are also no bathrooms, which also occasionally leads to problems that Marta, city of Atlanta or Emory Midtown has to clean up. The GRTA buses are using the same site, so traffic there can be bad in the morning. Megabus should have to pay to use the site.

They might not have a choice. I believe it was Boston or maybe Chicago that forced Megabus into the terminal instead of letting their passengers "freeload" off of the nearby terminals such as South Station and Union Station respectively. I personally wouldn't mind Atlanta doing something similar and forcing the buses into a terminal rather than just a street corner.
