Good answer. I'd like to do something like that also. Start a few businesses and be involved in philanthropy.

People who don't "have" to work for a living should continue to be active, or else most of them feel unfulfilled.

I would be in the north Georgia mountains somewhere. I didn't know y'all hated Georgia so much. Nowhere I'd rather live. I would travel a lot, though.

I'd buy a lake home on Lake Hartwell, but I don't think I'd live in Georgia full time. I'd be looking for somewhere like Southlake, TX where I could get a nice $500k-ish home 10 minutes from a major airport. I would want to travel a lot and I'm not particularly enamored with the area directly around Hartsfield.

I don't think people hate Georgia. I think it is a utilitarian place to live/work, but not an inspiring place.

Boston-Washington corridor (most likely).
Or California.

I'd move to the Caribbean, buy a fishing boat, and build a bed and breakfast. Offer dives and deep-sea fishing for the guest. Always have a source of income.

I would like own a nice home in the mountains somewhere in Forsyth county and also have a second home near John Wayne Airport.

I travelled to Europe and Asia and still believe that the quality life in the U.S. can't be beat. Been to SF, San Jose, NYC, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando etc... and the only two cities I can see my self living in and begin happy is in a nice suburb of LA or Atlanta.

Living close the airport is very important to me so i can travel to Jamaica, Bahamas, Hawaii, and travel within the states.

If were hit jack pot in my mid 40s, and there is still no airport up north, I would buy my final retirement home somewhere in southern California. As i start to discover more of North Georgia mountains.. it is really beautiful up here. I came to Atlanta with little to no expectations and Georgia really grows on you and you start to appreciate its natural beauty.

Of course i would be picking up one of these

Only in Atlanta and LA can one enjoy a car like this throughout the year.

I wanted to say this (and Mr. Panda's post strikes this note): The place you choose should also be one where you want to raise your progeny, and could possibly want them to lead their active lives there. Those choosing Caribbean etc. Would you choose so, keeping this in mind.

Oh, I hate Atlanta and would move in a instant. Live in NYC for awhile, travel abroad and then settle down somewhere on the east coast. I would give a lot to a charity I like as well. Who could spend all that money on themselves??
