It's raining new jobs here in Metro Atlanta
Private equity-backed WellStreet Urgent Care plans to develop a dozen clinics in metro Atlanta and create more than 200 health-care jobs this year. The roughly $15 million expansion plan helps address the shortage of family physicians and the growing problem of ER overcrowding, WellStreet CEO
Doug Brown said.
With Monday-through-Sunday service, WellStreet Urgent Care promises walk-in convenience and speedy medical care — at least to those who can pay for it. The lower-cost urgent-care centers are an attractive proposition for bottom-line watching consumers, employers and insurers.
