Hi, I'm having a difficult time choosing between Kennesaw State University and Southern Polytechnic State University . I realize that this is a question only I can answer myself, but I am hoping to get some insight about which of these two colleges would be best for me from someone who knows about both of them, perhaps even has gone to both of them.

I'm going to commute to either one of these schools from where I live, Lawrenceville, until I find a place to live around there, so it will be a long commute either way. I'll be entering as a first year student and I will probably be transferring out to a larger school (UGA, GA Tech, etc.) after my first year. My listed major at both of the schools is biology, but I am not entirely sure I want this to be my major. I think most likely, however, that my final major, whatever it may be, will be something in the sciences or foreign languages, but once again I am not entirely sure. I really want to explore the alternate possibilities for my major.

Also, I would like to get involved socially in the school and with some organizations and clubs in the school, preferably ones that are outdoors related. I heard that SPSU is particularly lacking in this social area, but I'm not sure whether or not it's actually true. I'm really worried that, if I do go to SPSU, I'll end up in a school with just a bunch of guys who are only interested in studying. In other words, I don't want to miss out of the whole "College Experience."

Some other concerns of mine were whether or not, in either of these areas, the crime rates, the cost of living, or traffic during rush hour, are significantly better/worse than one or the other. I would really appreciate any sort of counsel anyone could give me in making this decision. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, if you did .

Off hand, if you want to go to Georgia Tech, start with SPSU. If UGA, start with KSU. But since you want the "college experience", you'd probably get more of that at KSU.
